Pregnancy questions & bump (28 weeks)

This week has been a bit of a blur & I don’t feel like I’ve done anything outstanding, but I do feel really very pregnant. I feel: uncomfortable, heavy, clumsy, and utterly exhausted. Usually if I felt just one of those things I’d be complaining, a lot, but I’m perfectly happy and content: It’s almost as if all of the niggles make the pregnancy more real.
Yesterday was the first day of my third trimester which is both exciting and terrifying – we’re going to start buying the majority of the items we’ll need for ‘little one’ in the next few weeks, so I will be posting blogs showing you what we’ve got. I love that I can share our journey with you & wether it’s just curiosity, bringing back memories, or comparing your own pregnancy that makes you decide to read : I hope that you find these posts interesting & I’d love to hear your stories.
How far along? 28 weeks 1 day
Waist measurement: 35.5 inches (same as last week)
Measurement at belly button: 38 inches (same as last week)
Maternity clothes: Nope, but I’m going bra shopping tomorrow (thank goodness) and I may cave in and buy some maternity jeans while I’m at it.
Stretch marks? None, which may be down to the lack of inch gain. But I’m now in my third trimester which means things go pretty crazy from here on out.
Sleep: What’s that?
Best moment this week: We received our contract through for our house. Somehow that made it all so much more real.
Miss anything? Tummy sleeping. I miss  it so much, side sleeping is not for me.
Movement: Little & often, mostly in the evenings. Baby kicks me in the ribs now, mum says it’s karma for how often I used to do it to her.
Food cravings: I craved mellon. Sort of. It wasn’t an overwhelming need, but i did enjoy it all the same.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Not unless you count George’s curry farts. ha.
Gender: Either a boy or girl I hope… (running out of new answers here)
Labour signs: Nada.
Symptoms: The worlds worst RIB PAIN. On my right side, it is becoming unbearable & apparently will not subside until birth. No sleep for me then.
Belly button in or out? It’s still a funny in-between, I have decided that I will only count it as an outie when I can see it through my t-shirt.
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy, but exhausted.
Looking forward to: Being able to “nest” properly. This won’t be for a while, but I can’t help but look forward to it anyway. It’s been odd having nesting instincts but no place to nest.

Winterlicious TAG

Although this tag is traditionally a YouTube tag I figured I could use it on this blog. I spend a good amount of time browsing YouTube so I thought it would be rude not to… (links to all the products mentioned are at the end)

Favourite winter nail polish? This is such a difficult question, becauseeeeee I trapped my thumb in my Aunt Vals car door a few months back and I only have a half nail there now, after the other one fell off, and because of that I’ve been avoiding nail polish all together. But I know what I would be wearing and it would be RockStar nails (full on glitter) or I would be wearing a deep plum colour like Jessica: Cinderella Red.

Favourite winter lip product? Honestly, just  a good lip balm. I love The Body Shop’s: Hemp Lip Protector. Yum.

Favourite winter scent? As far as perfume goes, I’m in love with Marc Jacobs: Dot. but I don’t own that YET, so I’m going to go a completely different route and say the smell of Gingerbread, real, not candle scent. Though I love a good scented candle.

Favourite winter beverage? Julmust. It’s a Swedish non-alcohoic root-beer drink. Not many British people like the flavour, but it’s a firm favourite in our household.

All time favourite Holiday movie? Maybe Love Actually, but truth be told, I’m not a massive fan of films made just watching at one time of the year.

Favourite Christmas song? So this is Christmas.

Favourite Holiday food/treat? Favourite food in General would be Gravad Lax (salt, pepper, sugar and dill cured Salmon) on Christmas Bread, and Favourite treat would be homemade Gingerbread.

Favourite Christmas decoration this year? A Georg Jensen Christmas Ornament that my mum received from her parents. It’s stunning.

What’s at the top of your Christmas list? I actually know everything I’m getting this year, I prefer giving gifts to receiving, and I know I’m super difficult to buy for, so I tend to end up giving everyone a list. My most wanted item is Marc Jacobs: Dot perfume though, and I think I might be buying that one myself… funny how things work out.

What are your plans for the Holiday? Christmas drinks (non-alcoholic for me) on the 23rd, Swedish Christmas on Christmas Eve, I’m roasting Duck for my family Christmas Lunch, and George and I are joining his family for Christmas Dinner in the evening. SO MUCH FOOD!

Most worn winter accessory? My Celtic Sheepskin: Toscana Headband.

Most worn winter piece? Now here’s the sad truth: I’ve probably worn my Christmas Onsie more than any other item I own.

Pregnancy Questions & Bump (25 Weeks)

How far along? 25 Weeks 4 Days
Maternity clothes: I’m still wearing any and everything I already own and can fit in to. I might not look the best, but I’m saving money.
Stretch marks? Nothing on my tummy, but I got stretch marks on my breasts pretty early on, but honestly I barely notice them.
Sleep: I’m a tummy-sleeper, or was before I got pregnant, so getting comfortable is still a bit difficult.
Best moment this week: Picking up our friends old baby bouncer, travel cot & baby bath. Seeing any items for baby makes it all that much more real.
Miss anything? Not having to put a bra on straight after getting out of bed.
Movement: Lots of movement this week, it’s been lovely. George woke up after being kicked a few times and I’m sure baby has had hiccups too.
Food cravings: Nope, nothing what so ever.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Mushrooms.
Gender: Unsure, we want a surprise. I think.
Labour signs: None.
Symptoms: Itchy skin, and dizzy spells. I’ve also been hungry more often, but considering how long my morning sickness lasted – I do not mind at all.
Belly button in or out? In, just about.
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy more often than moody, but sometimes both within seconds.
Looking forward to: Christmas, can you believe it’s less than a week?! CRAZY
